Blue Hour's fundraising event spotlights a masterful original work by Greg LoProto.
A family is grudgingly forced together to ride out a devastating hurricane in their attic. As they brace for impact, relationships are tested, old arguments resurface, and new opportunities dawn.
A powerful and intimate family drama, “Drowned Cats” is a heartbreaking story of stubborn survival in the face of an increasingly inhospitable world and the unbreakable bonds that hold us together.
“Drowned Cats” was written by Greg LoProto, playwright and director of Blue Hour’s 2024 production of “The Plague Master General (a bubonic comedy),” which was nominated for a Gregory Award for best original script. “Drowned Cats” has had two workshop presentations (starring Emmy-winning actress Sally Struthers) as part of New Art City Theatre’s 2024 Playwright’s Festival.
